Pedagogical Formation Education Procedures and Principles for Our Vocational School Students Who Have Received/Will Receive Formation

PEDAGOGICAL FORMATION EDUCATION PROCEDURES AND PRINCIPLES FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN UNITS OTHER THAN FACULTIES TRAINING TEACHERS

1. Students in the faculty/school/conservatory programs in the fields defined in the first article, primarily 4th-year and graduation-stage students, will be able to take courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education in the fall and spring semesters. However, students in the programs of units with the 7+1 application can take elective courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education in the 6th and 7th semesters, students in the programs of units with the 6+2 application in the 5th and 6th semesters will be able to take elective courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education.  
2. The ECTS of the Pedagogical Formation Education courses will not be included in the total ECTS credits (240 ECTS / 300 ECTS) of the courses in the curriculum of the program in which the student is enrolled and which are a graduation requirement.
3. For graduation; the total ECTS credits of students in programs with a 4-year undergraduate education and training period who have taken Pedagogical Formation Education will not be less than 280, and the total ECTS credits of students in programs with a 5-year undergraduate education and training period will not be less than 340.
4. The work and transactions related to the selection of Pedagogical Formation Education courses will be carried out by the units in which the student is enrolled. Course registration approvals will be made by academic advisors.
5. Within the scope of Pedagogical Formation Education courses, the courses "Teaching Practice" and "Special Teaching Methods" will be conducted face-to-face, while other courses will be conducted face-to-face and within the framework of the YÖK Distance Education Procedures and Principles.
6. The credits of the elective courses taken and passed within the scope of pedagogical formation education will be added to the total ECTS credits of the courses in the student's curriculum, reflected in the transcript, and affect the weighted general grade point average.
7. In the transcript of students who take Pedagogical Formation Education courses as elective courses but do not complete all of them, only the courses they have taken and passed will be included.
8. In order for the statement "Has Completed Pedagogical Formation Education." to be included in the student's diploma, they must successfully complete all courses (a total of 40 ECTS, including the Teaching Practice course).

2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR FALL SEMESTER COURSES AND PERIODS OF OPTIONAL PEDAGOGICAL FORMATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

EXPLANATION: According to the "Teaching Fields, Appointment and Teaching Principles" dated 20/02/2014 and numbered 9 of the Ministry of National Education Board of Education and Discipline, students in the faculty/school/conservatory programs in the fields where formation education can be taken outside the faculties training teachers; primarily 4th-year and graduation-stage students will be able to take courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education in the fall and spring semesters. However, students in the programs of units with the 7+1 application can take elective courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education in the 6th and 7th semesters, students in the programs of units with the 6+2 application in the 5th and 6th semesterski students will be able to take elective courses within the scope of pedagogical formation education.
