Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Tourism Management and Hotel Management School students participated in Gastro Antalya 23: International Gastronomy and Culinary Stars Meeting held in Antalya between November 15-18, 2023.
The students, under the guidance of the Tourism Management and Hotel Management School Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department lecturer Öğr. Gör. İlhan Avcu, won the silver medal by placing 2nd with their performance in the competition they participated in.
MAKÜ students participated in the organization, which was attended by dozens of chefs and 10,000 people from 40 countries, in 2 separate categories. In the competition, Hikmet Özel in the “Student Chef Restaurant Dessert” category; İlayda Başkaya, Berkan Gür, and Doğukan Ali Kuzoluk in the “Modern Turkish Cuisine Team Competition” category won 2nd place and were awarded the silver medal.
