The Faculty of Tourism came together in a meeting organized with foreign students studying at the faculty. During the meeting held between the faculty administration and the students, a student representative election was held; the problems experienced by the students were also brought to the agenda.
In the meeting, the difficulties faced by foreign students in education and social life were discussed in detail. The students expressed their discomfort, especially about the financial difficulties in accessing health services, the high tuition and transportation fees, and the limited job opportunities due to being foreign nationals.
The faculty administration stated that necessary steps would be taken to convey the expressed problems to the relevant units and to seek solutions. With the election of the student representative, it is aimed to convey and represent the demands of foreign students in a more systematic way.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that mutual exchange of ideas with the students would continue and that joint solution efforts would persist.
