The 6+2 Applied Education Model implemented in our faculty's Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Tourism Management departments is an innovative education program that offers our students the opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practice.
Within the scope of the 6+2 Applied Education Model:
- During the first 6 semesters (3 academic years), our students complete their theoretical and practical courses at the faculty.
- In the last 2 semesters (7th and 8th semesters), our students continue their applied education in distinguished hotels and businesses that meet the criteria defined in our directive.
This education model offers our students the following opportunities:

- Practical Application: The chance to apply the knowledge learned in theoretical courses in a professional environment.
- Career Opportunities: The opportunity to meet potential employers and establish business connections before graduation.
- Professional Development: Mentorship by industry professionals and training in real work conditions.
- Salary Opportunity: During the applied education period, our students can receive payment according to the relevant legislation.
- Early Job Start: The advantage of spending the entire last year of the education process in the sector, allowing for quick and easy adaptation to work life after graduation.
