Tourism Management Department Continues Its Preparations for 2025 TURAK Accreditation

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Tourism Tourism Management Department, at the meeting held on January 16, 2025, made important decisions regarding the 2025 TURAK accreditation application process.

In the meeting held with 5 participants in the Faculty of Tourism Dean's Office, the meetings held with the Faculty of Tourism Student Representatives and Quality Commission members on December 18, 2024, were evaluated. In this context, the request of students for Foreign Language courses to be conducted face-to-face was discussed.

In line with the decisions made at the meeting, in accordance with the regulation of the Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (TURAK) regarding foreign language courses, it was unanimously decided that the Foreign Language I (English) and Foreign Language II (English) courses in the department will be conducted face-to-face in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

In addition, it was decided to make the necessary changes in the 2025-2026 Academic Year Teaching Plan and to create a new plan.

In the meeting, the program self-evaluation report preparation team, which needs to be prepared within the scope of the application for TURAK Program Accreditation, was also determined. The teaching staff to take part in the team were formed as follows:

The Tourism Management Department is taking an important step in the TURAK accreditation process with these efforts, progressing towards certifying the quality of education.
